Here is how we are different:
Choice: As an independent agent, we offer a choice of multiple insurance carriers, coverages, price, and more. Our main focus is to find the insurance coverage that best suit your unique needs and gives you the best options. In addition, we know you have a choice when selecting a local independent agent. We want to continue to show how we earn your trust through our regular communication, personal relationships, and community involvement. We want you be a part of our agency and join us in having some fun!
Provide High Level of Service: To us, service means you will know who our staff members are – and not just the usual run of the mill insurance stuff. You will know about them as people and we want to know the same about you. So when you call you will know who you are talking to! We will also be available in the event of a claim. Being independent we work for you, not the insurance companies. We will be there to make sure your interests are protected and not forgotten.
Local: When most people say they are local, they mean they have an office in your community. While that is true of us, when we say we are local we mean we are a part of your community. We are involved with local and national charities and organizations, like the South Jordan Chamber of Commerce and our local youth sports programs that benefit where we live. We believe that if we put our time and money where it matters the most we all benefit. So come join us in the local events we support and participate in, or join us online and give your support there!

Our Agency
Inside Insurance – South Jordan Branch is a satellite office of Inside Insurance based out of American Fork. Our branch was founded in 2014 by Matthias Allred.
Inside Insurance is a 2nd generation agency, founded and operated by Scott Shumway and his son, Jonathan. Inside Insurance has grown to include eight offices through the Mountain West.
We are founded on solid community principles:
1. Care for each individual client
2. Support our community
3. Have fun along the way
Running an insurance agency has changed over the years. We don’t do business with every client face to face the way we did 20 years ago. So we do some things differently, like communicate through newsletters and Facebook instead of seeing everyone in town at mealtime at the local diner. Instead, we set up events in our communities where we see many of you. We participate in local events as well as social gatherings online.
Hold us to the high standard of service we strive for – we hope you’ll provide your comments on how we’re doing during our annual client survey every June. We know that you rely on us to protect your most valuable treasures, including family, home, cars, and finances. So please understand, that “Protecting you and your family is our Highest Priority!”

We Appreciate Your Referrals
The Inside Insurance – South Jordan Branch “Help our Community” Referral Program
Your referrals mean the world to us. We work hard to earn each referral with great service and appreciation for your business every day. As our way of saying thank you, we’re kicking off our new “Help Our Community” referral program. We love supporting the charitable efforts in our community, so we’ve tied referrals and charitable giving together.
Each time we receive a referral from you we will make a donation to a Local Charity . What qualifies as a referral? A referral is when we are contacted for a quote from someone saying you referred them to us. Don’t worry we ask on every call.
Here’s how it works:
- For every referral we receive we will donate $10 to our Local Charity.
- We hold a quarterly drawing from all the names of people that referred someone to us.
- For our quarterly drawing, the quarterly prize is $100 and is given to the charity of the winner’s choice.
- Each referral equals one entry into our quarterly drawing
- We’ll announce who won in our quarterly newsletter.
- If you are the quarterly winner, we’ll ask you for a picture of you and your charity, and will feature your charity in a ½ page article!
- For our annual drawing, the annual prize is $500 and is given to the charity of the winner’s choice. If your name is drawn, we hope you’ll join us to deliver this to your favorite charity!
- Each referral you’ve given throughout the year equals one entry for our annual drawing.
- That’s it. The person you refer doesn’t have to purchase a policy or obtain a quote from us if we’re not competitive for your referral to count. There are many worthy charitable organizations in our community. Help us help them!
Our referral program is open to anyone, whether they’re a client or not.

Our Involvement In The Community
We Give Back
Giving back to our community is part of what we’ve been doing for 2 generations. We believe in supporting our local businesses and events that improve the lives of those in our community. Each year we participate in and raise money for the Christmas for Kids program as well as the Annual Teacher Appreciation event for the Jordan School District. We like to feature the efforts of our clients and what they do in the community as well by sharing their stories in our monthly newsletter and with our Facebook community.
We Volunteer
Each member of our staff volunteers within the community, from church and school to coaching youth sports leagues and more.
We believe it is important for our team to volunteer, so we give them time away from the office to volunteer with their own personal favorite charities in the community.
We also have opportunities for you to be involved and help out local charities and events we participate in. Look for details on Facebook and in our newsletter!
